Finding Short Beach is easy enough, as it is in Stratford, and Stratford is one of Connecticut's well-known cities. However, detailed instructions are necessary to make sure that you don't get lost while driving to your destination, especially not on the first day of your vacation, so here's how to get to Short Beach and Short Beach Park:
If you're driving to Short Beach from the east, take the I-95 South to exit 32. Turn left onto Linden Avenue, then make a second left onto West Broad Street. You will go through a roundabout. Go right onto Route 113/Main Street, and stay on for around 2 miles. Make a left onto Short Beach Road, then keep going straight onto Dorne Drive. Just follow Dorne Drive and you will soon see Short Beach Park.
If coming from the west, take the I-95 North to exit 30. Get onto the ramp to Sikorsky Memorial Airport. Make a slight right onto Laorship Boulevard/Route 113 and stay on it until you get to Access Road. Turn right onto Main Street, then make a left onto Short Beach Road. Keep going to get to Dorne Drive. Just follow Dorne Drive and you will soon see Short Beach Park.
